Weekly fishing report ending October 22 , 2024

The water clarity is about average now for East Galveston Bay. This past week we have battled strong winds from the East and Northeast, which forced us to focus our fishing time in the marsh and back lakes. The tides have started out extremely high, which was a positive as well, allowing us to target some areas with more submerged grass present. We have focused on shorelines with nervous bait present finding some nice slot Redfish and some Bulls as well. We have still been catching good numbers of trout over shell and in some deeper cuts over the past few days. We have utilized Imitation shrimp lures & tails under popping corks, with a 1 - foot leader, as well as 1/16 oz jig heads with tails by WacAttack & Deadly Dudley in lighter colors fished slowly
