The Texas Crab Festival got its start in 1986, when a few of the Local Businesses were looking for a way to promote business and tourism on Bolivar Peninsula and in Crystal Beach Texas. What began with a few hundred people, currently draws in thousands on Mother’s Day Weekend for three days of Fun in the sun and CRABS!
Texas Crab Festival continues to bring family and friends together each year for a fun-filled weekend of entertainment, it also gives back. The Festival creates awareness of what our Gulf Coast community has to offer in terms of tourism, businesses, food and entertainment. The Festival encourages home owners and business owners involvement. The Texas crab Festival supports youth development, scholarships and continuing education. So while your family and friends are enjoying all the music, art and great food the Texas Crab Festival has to offer, know that you are also helping to give back to our community.
