July is Parks and Recreation Month Yearly and July 20th 2019 is an open house at Fort Travis you won't want to miss. Come enjoy this larger than life park set above sea level so the view is fabulous over the Houston Ship Channel and Galveston Bay. Enjoy a picnic with family and friends, Tour The Bunkers, yes for this day the Bunkers will be open where you can see Gun Rooms, Powder Rooms, Shell Rooms and more from way back. Spend the weekend in Crystal Beach Texas or anywhere on Bolivar Peninsula and spend the day going back in history at Fort Travis, Open House Hours will be 9am-3pm. Bolivar LIVE will be doing Bolivar LIVE Shows throughout the day showcasing the beauty of Fort Travis and the bunkers.
