Weekly Fishing Report Ending September 14, 2023.

Surface water temperature is 85 degrees, and water clarity remains good in East Bay. We had some storms roll through that we had to dodge for a couple of days, but overall, the fishing continues to improve in East Galveston Bay.

Off the shore reefs have worked well for us again this week and resulted in good catches of Trout & Reds, and a few Black Drum, when you find active bait in the area. The Redfish bite has improved as well this week when we are targeting them, resulting in solid slots, as well as some large bulls stretching our line.

Shrimp imitation lures under popping corks with 12” - 18” leaders have still been producing the most bites for our anglers, and the Deadly Dudley, Slammin Sammy Chartreuse Tail Bay Chovey has worked well with ¼ oz jig heads fished with & without a popping cork at various depths.
