Hurricanes in the Gulf through Thursday, what's in store for our 27 Miles of Paradise, Bolivar Peninsula. It's a sit and wait game, for now, be prepared, keep an eye on the gulf and stay tuned.

We'll it made a move with the last update and word from Greg Bostwick is, "Marco is now moving generally to the north at about 12-15 mph with highest winds just below hurricane intensity. It is now expected that Marco will likely make landfall to our east over southeast Louisiana Monday morning as a tropical storm. After landfall, a gradual turn more to the west can be expected with the remnants.

The weekends looking great but come later Sunday we could start to see the effects of Marco or Laura. Now's the time to think ahead, batten down any outdoor items, if you're leaving think about what's in your freezer or fridge due to power outages maybe, tie-down your outdoor furniture and trash can and have a plan if you do need to leave. We all love out 27 miles of paradise.

There are two ways to and from Crystal Beach, Texas, one is the ferry and the other is Hwy 87/124 which in the past has been a problem.

2020 HardHeads Bolivar Rig Run is underway. The Crystal Beach, Texas beachfront is packed with onlookers watching the sailboats head to the rig and back. Check out a front-row seat from, the Bolivar LIVE Truck.

It's happening today, the 6th Annual HardHeads Bolivar Rig Run from the beachfront at Barrel 63. First race at Noon, 2nd starts at 12:15pm. The view will be great from the Washout west all along the beachfront, bring out your family and enjoy the day on Bolivar Peninsula.

Anytime you're on the beachfront is great, but relaxing beachfront with family as the sun goes down is awesome. Many get dinners to go from area restaurants and enjoy their meal beachfront. Call it in, pick it up, and head to the beach for dinner.
