Well I'm a little late with our feed but I promised myself I would take it easy today on my Birthday but I just couldn't stay away from the Bolivar Beachfront.

Tide seems to have dropped a little since Hurricane Hanna made landfall yesterday.

If you're traveling along Hwy 87 towards High Island or coming to Bolivar Peninsula, let's look at the Hwy conditions for now and talk High Tides later.

Bolivar Peninsula and Hwy 87 conditions with Hurricane Hanna hitting South Texas we're feeling the effects on the Upper Texas Coast, Bolivar Peninsula.

With Hanna 100's of miles away we're still feeling the effects with winds and a storm surge hampering access to the beach. Power went out on Bolivar Peninsula in the early morning hours leaving many without Hot Coffee till they make a trip to The Big Store this morning.

With Tropical Storm Hanna in the gulf and expected to strengthen overnight, we're making a trip along Hwy 87 going towards the curve at Hwy 124 since it's time for High Tide.

With the tropical storm, Hanna out in the gulf, tides in Crystal Beach, Texas are elevated for now but the rain hasn't been present for the time being. Listen in as we check out the beachfront in the Bolivar Live Truck.

It's sunny skies in paradise form now, rain is predicted to move in later tonight and tides will most likely be on the rise this evening but only time will tell.

We're watching the gulf as we roll into the weekend with Tropical Storm Warnings from High Island South. With a rain event heading our way, we're gonna give out 2 clues this morning so everyone can hunt hard and take cover when the rain hits.

Spotty showers are crossing Bolivar Peninsula and rain chances pick up tomorrow and Friday. We'll have to wait a day to get a better grip on the weather for the weekend with tropical weather in the gulf.
